Important Information
Word limit is 400 words. The word count does not include your title, authorship, or cited references.
Text only β images and figures are not permitted.
How to Submit Your Abstract
Please read the following instructions before you begin.
Before you start
Ensure your abstract text is under 400 words β the system will not accept submissions over this limit (title, authorship, and cited references are not counted). Have your abstract ready on your computer so you can paste it into the submission system.
Submission Steps
Select your presentation type and category
Provide keywords to help categorise your abstract
Enter your abstract title in sentence case (lowercase, with only the first letter of the first word capitalised), without punctuation β e.g. Title of my presentation for the conference
Enter the names of all authors and their organisations, and indicate the presenting author
Paste the text of your abstract into the relevant field (400 words max, excluding title, authorship, and references)
Preview your abstract, make any changes needed, then finalise your submission and return to your dashboard
You'll receive an email confirming your abstract has been submitted β check your junk folder if it doesn't arrive
To edit your abstract after submitting, log in to your registration dashboard, click View Submission, then Preview/edit abstract
You can only make changes to your abstract until the submission deadline. After this, please email any changes to ASN Events.
Important Note
Having your abstract accepted and included in the conference program is conditional on being a registered and paid delegate. The registration system encourages you to register before submitting your abstract, but this isn't essential β you can submit an abstract before completing registration.
Troubleshooting
If you have any issues submitting your abstract, please contact ASN Events.
Committee Review
The Organising Committee will review all submissions before selecting the presentations to be included in the conference program.
Acceptance Notification
Once review is complete, the organisers will notify presenters of their acceptance, with specific presentation instructions included.
Web Publishing
A couple of weeks before the conference, the final program will be published on this page with a link to the abstracts. If you don't want your abstract published, please indicate this when you complete your submission.
Award Consideration
Two additional questions in the submission form let you opt in for award consideration. Both require supporting documents to be sent directly to the named contact β not through the abstract portal.
